Affordable, Custom-Made, Polarized Sunglasses
When I’m not at work and I’m outside the house. I’m almost always wearing sunglasses.
After the time that I left my tortoise shell, Ray Bans at the massage place and they vanished when I attempted to retrieve them, I’ve never again lost a pair of sunglasses. However, I still don’t feel that comfortable wearing expensive ones. I bought a super cool pair of oversized, Christian Dior sunglasses that I love, but because they cost me $230, I hardly wear them. I’ve worn them maybe five times. Instead, they end up in my museum of things that I like to see in my collection, but are too precious for me to wear unless there’s a very special occasion.
A few years ago, I did a photoshoot with Irena. She is wearing my Dior sunglasses and my tuxedo jacket by Red Herring.
I found a sunglasses retailer, Knockaround, that provides the best of both worlds: style, functionality, and value. I never thought that I would find such nice sunglasses with polarized lenses at such a good price. By using any of the links on this page, you will receive $10 off your first order, and I will receive $10 in rewards points to spend for my referral. Also, They have a nice loyalty program and if you create a profile and enter your birthday, they’ll gift you rewards points as a gift that day.
Furthermore, their customer service is excellent. I had a problem with a purchase once. I bought a pair of special editions that had lenses with a two-tone, mirror tint and it altered my vision when I wore them. They were apologetic and understanding and replaced them immediately. Over the years I’ve bought around seven pairs of sunglasses from this brand and this was the only time that I ever had an issue with any of their products.
I recommend that you purchase the fully customizable sunglasses that they offer. You can choose the colors of the lenses, frames, arms, logos and the frame style, and they’re not much more expensive than buying the ready made ones. I get a ton of compliments on these glasses and it’s fun to tell people that I had them custom made and chose all of the colors myself. I’ve always picked the Fort Knocks style to customize and with polarized lenses, they only cost $40 plus taxes and shipping.
I made these custom Fort Knocks with the black arms, honey frames, and polarized, gold lenses. $40 plus taxes and shipping.
I also made these custom Fort Knocks with green arms, purple, frames, and polarized, purple lenses. $40 plus taxes and shipping.
Additionally, they have some pretty cool limited edition releases and partnerships with your favorite sports teams and some musicians too. I’ve seen Snoop Dogg wearing their sunglasses; I think he designed a pair in the past. They have a pair of black “Grateful Dead” glasses with roses on them that I think are cool and I would buy if I liked that band, but I don’t. The Bob Marley one’s are nice as well, but they look too much like the one’s that I custom made for myself already. I almost bought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s, but they look like a pair of green ones that I already have from the brand. By the way, the limited editions can sell out pretty quickly.
